Returned Home October 2025

Adam Roberts

Adam Roberts, a near graduate of Syracuse University, completed his bachelor’s from a cell in Attica.

After serving a twenty-five years to life for murder, Adam returned home in October 2025. In addition to spending time with family and friends, Adam spent his days during incarceration with purpose by working as a peer counselor, and engaging in creative pursuits such as drawing, painting, and writing narrative nonfiction. Having spent four years in the Attica Writers’ Workshop, he now hopes to earn a master’s in literature. Adam returns to the theatre after a thirty-year hiatus – previously, he garnered critical acclaim for his portrayal of the caterpillar in a fourth-grade production of “James and the Giant Peach”.
